European University was founded in 1991and in 2001 there was established branch in Ternopil. From 2005 it is headed by professor Mykhaylo Luchko. The University offers the training in the following specialities: enterprise economics, accounting and auditing, organization management, information control systems and technologies. Forms of studying are: full-time and correspondence study. After graduation students get their bachelor or specialist degrees. The best students study to achieve master’s degree. There are 77 lectures in Ternopil branch of the university. Among them there are 51 candidates of science and 7 professors. There were organized 5 departments of economics, management, accounting and control of finance, mathematical and information sciences and socio-humanitarian sciences.
Scientific schools and laboratories of such professors as M. Luchko, M. Strishenets, H. Ohanyan, M. Ostapyuk, O. Ustenko and B. Lanovyk function here. They organize the scientific researches of postgraduate students.
Since the time of foundation, Ternopil Branch of European University has reached great results in organization of studying process. It takes an active part in scientific, cultural and political life of Ternopil on the basis of collaboration and priority of community’s interests.
Ternopil branch accepted the changes to the studying process according to the Bologna Process and organizes its work on the basis of credit-module system. It gives the possibility to adjust to European standards of education.
Students of full-time and correspondence study are formed high level of knowledge and professional skills, and motivated to take part in scientific work. Students participate in scientific conferences and discussions which are organized in the town and region.
