Persons with higher education – specialist’s and master’s
degree – are admitted to graduate school.
The entrants who passed a compulsory interview with their prospective
scientific adviser and got positive grades on their essays are admitted
to entrance examinations.
Documents to be produced:
1. Application addressed to the chancellor.
2. Certified personal form from the place of employment or study and
two 3x4 photos.
3. Copies of the diploma and record book.
4. Essay on the chosen scientific speciality.
5. The list of published scientific works (if they are available).
6. Extract from the minutes of the faculty (university) board meeting
for persons recommended for graduate studies after graduation.
7. Certificate of passing qualifying examination for the candidate
degree (for those who has passed them)
8. Reference on permanent residence.
9. Passport copy 1,2,11 pages.
Entrance exams are held in a speciality, foreign language and philosophy
from 14 to 30 July (exams require payment – 150 hrn. each).
Persons permitted to take entrance exams are given leave according
to the existing legislation.
Enrolment to graduate school is conducted based on the results of the
exams and after the signing of a contract.
Full-time post graduate students are provided with a dormitory and
have the right to work part-time according to the existing legislation.
Part-time post graduate students who successfully complete their individual
plan enjoy privileges at work according to the existing legislation.
All post graduate students, according to Ukrainian Law,
have the
right for a draft adjournment for the period of studies.
The period of
full-time graduate studies – 3 years; part-time studies
– 4 years.
Postgraduate studies start dates are 1st July and 1st November 2006.
Registration with the department for the preparation and writing of
a thesis – 1300 hrn. a year.
Passing qualifying examination for the candidate degree – 550 hrn.
Qualifying examinations for the candidate degree are held twice a
year in April and November.
Classes are held and consultations are given by corresponding departments
to prepare graduate students for passing qualifying examinations for
the candidate degree in a foreign language, philosophy and speciality.
