Today, it’s
hard to find a bank, a trading company or even a ministry where the graduates
of European University don’t work (called Ukrainian-Finnish Institute
of Management and Business to 09.06.1999). The history of this educational
establishment
is not centuries-old, but 12 years of its existence were enough to achieve

names are well-known in the educational circles of Ukraine and
abroad. There are also a great number of state prize winners, members
of international scientific societies and dissertation examining

to this, the certifying commission granted the university the right
to create a specialized examination board for defending candidate’s
dissertations.
European
university is the only system of continuous education in Ukraine.
It has the following components:
- the nursery school
for children who reached the age of 3 years;
- Euroland grammar school with profound studies of foreign languages,
mathematics, computer studies, economics, humanities, art and
history of Ukraine. There are also many sports clubs in the school;
- “The Applicant” center offers the courses of fundamental
economics and primary computer usage for the school-leavers;
- business college trains specialists of junior specialist
qualification level in 10 specialities;
- higher educational establishment which is responsible for
the training and re-training of junior specialists, bachelors
and masters;
- postgraduate and senior doctorate levels.
There
is also The International Preparatory Center which gives foreign
citizens the opportunity to get pre-university training in economic,
engineering, technical, medical and biological fields.
European
university consists of 24 affiliates located in Donetsk, Vinnytsa,
Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhhia, Konotop, Kryvyi Rih, Lviv, Cherkasy, Mykolaiv,
Nikopol, Poltava, Rivne, Sevastopol, Simferopol, Uman, Yalta, Odesa,
Kusnetsovsk, Ternopil, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Kherson, Netishyn and
Chernihiv. There is a study center in Mizhhiria too. Each affiliate
has a modern technical base, highly qualified teaching staff, proper
methodical and scientific work.
The
university affiliates have become real cultural and scientific
centers in their regions having great impact on them and making
university education more available for people. European university
has modern technical equipment, its own publishing house, as well
as cultural, educational and health protection centers. There are
more than 50 enterprises created by the president of the university,
I. I. Tymoshenko, with the help of students and graduates.
They
are:
- furniture factory which products are used for all university
departments;
- building
center;
- recruitment agency “Euroconsult”;
- powerful publishing and information center where more than
100 books and manuals are produced yearly;
- center for introducing IT and computer assembling;
- medical and recreation center which includes cardiology department,
dentist’s room, sports and recreation center “Edelweiss”, tourist
agency “Tirus” and a clinic for special treatment of musculoskeletal
system deficiencies opened in October, 2001.
The
university has its own driving school where the drivers of categories
“B”, “C” and “D” are trained and re-trained.
There
is a bank used not only for studying purposes, but also functions
as a real institution where students have a chance to work. They
get people’s payments and carry out all banking operations.
The structures mentioned above are not only
the source of university income, but a wide range of job vacancies for those
students who want earn money and get good practice. European university is,
first of all, a system of student practical training and adaptation to the
real economy conditions. Such studying approach is realized through the close
cooperation
with more than 200 commercial companies, enterprises and banks. “Learn and
work!” That is the main slogan of the studying and up-bringing processes in the
European
university.
Spiritual
development of a person also does not stand aside. For this purpose,
The Center of Culture and Art was created on the basis of which
the vocal studio “Ovation”, the studio of sports and ballroom dancing,
the student theatre “Etual”, the group of folk dances and songs
and modern choreographical group “Impulse” function successfully.
One more important thing in the university is the student self-government
which has a president, a student parliament, Euroclub and a club
called “Debates”.
The club of speakers is the heart of Young Political Scientists
and Politicians Association. University students have two magazines:
a scientific one called “Search” and an entertaining one called “Students’
Life” which describes the life of students in the European university.
The
studying and rest conditions of the university are considered to
be the best in Ukraine. There are many comfortable dormitories
of European type. The classes are equipped with the newest technical
means. Excellent library, 24 hour medical treatment, health center,
skiing resort in the Carpathian Mountains, numerous disco clubs and
cafes – all are available for university people. European university
is like an independent country where the first priority is its students.
The main goal of this educational institution is to form highly educated
and skilled workers for Ukraine, free and creative, able to think
independently and act properly in the fields of management, information
technologies and enterprise security based on their deep scientific
knowledge and realization of the balance between social actions and
personal intentions.
Modern
school-leavers enter university not only to get the corresponding
diplomas, but to have necessary skills and knowledge for their
future career. Only high professionalism predetermines the well-being
of university graduates as no one wants to employ a good-for-nothing.

respect, European university has many achievements. Several times
it was the winner of the international open popularity and quality
rating “Golden Fortune” in the nomination “The Best Studying Institution”.
The university was awarded the gold medal “Independence of Ukraine”.
It became a finalist in the Ukrainian National Quality Competition
in the nomination “Big Enterprises”, showed the best results in
the national tournament “Golden Trade Marks” and so on. Although
